The MX Mechanical is a good-looking, quiet, low-profile mechanical board with Logitech's excellent multi-device tricks. For me it was a letdown: after years on the MX Keys, the mechanical feel didn't beat the scissor comfort, and the MX Keys stayed on my desk. It suits mech-curious office typists more than MX Keys converts.
Hands-on: I've used the Logitech MX Mechanical Mini (tactile quiet), used alongside my MX Keys, which won its desk spot back. Specs checked against Logitech's official page.
| Switches | Low-profile Kailh Choc V2, tuned by Logitech; tactile quiet (default), linear, or clicky |

| Connectivity | Bluetooth Low Energy, Logi Bolt receiver, 3-device pairing |
| Keycaps | Low-profile ABS |
| Battery | 1,500 mAh, USB-C charging |
| Backlight | White, auto-adjusting, proximity-activated |

I wanted to love this board. I type on an MX Keys every day, so a mechanical version of it sounded like the obvious upgrade. It wasn't, for me. The low-profile tactile switches are fine, but they didn't beat the scissor comfort I was used to, and after the novelty wore off I kept reaching for the MX Keys. A bit of a letdown is the honest summary.
That said, it does plenty right. It looks good on a desk, the tactile quiet switches keep it office-friendly, and everything great about Logitech's Master series carries over: instant switching between three devices, the smart backlight, months of standby battery. Reviewers who came to it from regular mechanical boards rate it much higher than I do; my reference point was the MX Keys.
So the fit matters. If you type on membrane or scissor boards and want to try a mechanical feel without the noise or the learning curve, this is one of the safest ways in. If you already love your MX Keys, save the money. And if you want the deep, cushioned mechanical feel, a full-height board like the Keychron Q1 Max does more for less.
